A complicated review, warning to metrodeal users

I originally saw an advertisement for tribal hills on metrodeal.com It was a 3 day/2night stay, so before buying the voucher i called the number listed which goes to a company called indochinastrings , a travel agency. They told me the dates i wanted to book were " available" so i booked my selected dates, they even helped me to do so by phone. A week before I'm ready to take the trip on the selected dates i get an email from indochinastrings saying those dates "were not available" even after they told they were upfront! I had already schedule off work and everything, i tried everything to work with tribal hills (whom wouldn't help us) , Metrodeal (they didn't care) and Indochinastrings (if you google the term "indochinastrings scam", you can see they have many scam like deals)

No one would give us a refund, or help us. So many months later we just told the scammy metro deal company that we would stay whatever date they would "allow" for us. Finally got a date available and went.

Now on to tribal Hills itself, its a very nice place, beautiful views and the staff are friendly. Its located on top of a very very steep hill , which makes travel to and from the resort a little hard, though they do offer rides to the bottom.

The rooms itself are awesome, lots of space, very clean and nice. The rooms for the price are 5 star!

It has a wonderful balcony which would be great for food or drinks, but, they don't "allow it" they do have a restaurant which is nice, with mostly filipino foods and small breakfast. Staff is very accommodating over all.

When i went it was very cold i was looking forward to using the hot tub but was told it was broke at the time sadly.

A truck takes you from the resort to whitebeach or visa versa, just don't end up on the back of the truck! The hill is so steep you have to hold on for dear life, its not safe !

At check out time the staff didn't even ask if we liked the place, or wish for us to come back. They were friendly, but i think they need to take an extra step to invite guests back, try for repeat business etc.

Pros: Very nice rooms, beautiful views, spacious clean rooms
Nice staff,
free pick up and drop off at specific times.

Cons: Not allowed to eat and drink your own food in the room...
Hot tub wasn't working
Staff were nice, but at the same time not very welcoming for us to come back
Staff didn't care that the deal we got from metro deal, via indochinastrings ripped us off

In conclusion , the resort itself is really nice and a great place to relax if you don't mind the few things above. I didn't know how to rate this, i feel the travel agency that is selling rooms for them on metro deal is actually hurting them much more than its helping them. I don't know why they go through this agency as i feel indochinastrings is giving tribal hills a bad name! Tribal Hills deserves better, so i hope in the future they will care more about who is selling rooms for them...
